Robert Mazurek is a central Ohio artist working in oil painting, drawing,

and photography. The subjects consist of flowers, trees, landscapes,

and more. The guiding principle is that the image should be one that

brings happiness and a good way to start the day.

Robert started working in photography back in the days of darkrooms

and film, working for a wedding photographer. This experience was

eventually complimented with formal lessons in drawing and painting.

The overall result was the amalgamation of painting and photography,

with one discipline feeding into the other.

Sometimes, it is not clear at first whether one of Robert’s pieces is coming

from painting or photography.

Robert has taken foundation level art classes in drawing and painting at

the Columbus College of Art and Design, the Columbus Cultural Arts

Center, the McConnel Arts center, and a local arts college in Beauvais France.

This experience was further enhanced through Robert’s career in R&D for

a global consumer products company that offered the opportunity to live

near Paris and its thriving arts scene, and to visit major museums in cities

around the world.
